Don’t miss Frome International Climate Film Festival

Dear Editor

I write as co-producer of the award-winning West Country Voices’ film, ‘Phosphates: Too Much Of A Good Thing?’, which was shown at last year’s Frome International Climate Film Festival.

I bring the good news that this exciting and inspiring Festival is taking place again soon! Read the update below.

I hope to see you there.

Phil Shepherd.

PS don’t miss the festival screening of our new film ‘Stepping Forward Into Nature’, made with C

climate-friendly Bradford-on-Avon!

‘A teenager from Kenya starts a go-green society. In Bangladesh, teachers welcome children aboard a school boat.  Kate Winslet narrates ‘Dreamscapes‘, a celebration of the beauty of our planet. Along with work from our own Frome and Somerset filmmakers, these are just some of the films entered in the fourth Frome International Climate Film Festival 2025.

This year the festival takes place over two dates. On Sunday, May 18 at the Cheese and Grain we will be showing a selection of the 1100 films from over 100 countries submitted to the festival. After the films we will have a panel discussion with MP Anna Sabine, and during the day there will be children’s eco-arts activities and face painting, exhibitions and stalls, local music, a clothes swap, and prizes for the winners of our school’s climate competition.

On Sunday May 25, we move to Rook Lane Chapel to watch the award-winning films and presentation of the Climate Awards, followed by the UK premiere of Dreamscapes. Join us for a day of films, eco- art, music and poetry, sound baths and meditation. Also local food and a bar will be available.

The events are brought to you by the Climate Crew of volunteers, Frome Town Council, the Cheese and Grain, Rook Lane Chapel and by those giving their time, creative expertise, passion, and support freely for the festival and our future.

Tickets are available from our website. Children and students are entitled to FREE entry. www.climatefilmfestival.co.uk. ‘
